「I Never Knew You」
上星期一，在胃痛得要命情況下撘車回大埔看醫生，手機上播著這一首「I Never Knew You」，令我感觸得眼淚不自覺地一滴一滴流落口罩邊緣，再被口罩吸去。這一陣感動蓋過了無比胃痛。
Jason Mraz 在演繹這歌前問︰Why do we forget things? Especially like our exes, or past relationships.
每當失戀後一陣子，朋友慣常會問候你心情回穩了沒有？這時候大部份人都會答：「好多了，並不是想像中那麼難過。」
這情況被形容為把感情沉澱，將悲傷沉澱。亦都有人話，人的大腦會將悲痛的記憶自動刪去，好讓人能夠繼續有動力生活。我們不自主地隨時間把與舊愛的大部分記憶忘掉，忘掉他為你帶來的悲傷，順帶忘掉一起時的快樂回憶、相擁的感覺、朝思暮想的心情。好像除了記得他的名字和樣貌之外，大家未曾有過任何關係。
是什麼原因令我們把曾經認為最重要的人通通忘記？
愛一個人，分開了，將他忘記…愛上另一個人，分開了，再忘記……不斷重覆。為什麼？
是否像這首歌解釋般，我們忘記是不想去接受每一段感情終結的時候都是「殘酷的現實」。
清空腦內所有空間，好讓心中對純粹愛情的渴望有機會去重燃，
若下一次的愛情的終結，同樣要面對一個殘酷的現實，
我們再次把它忘記……
我們享受愛情帶來的快樂，但不能接受每一段感情也有時限的現實。
唯有忘記，使下一次感情來臨時，亦能夠充滿好奇、充滿期待，瞓身付出感情。
我們的回憶每次也被刪除…剩低一張白紙，
最感慨的，是想回憶當時甜蜜的日子時，也完全記不起來。

When I look back on my life, it’s not that I don’t want to see things exactly as they happened, it’s just that I prefer to remember them in an artistic way.
And truthfully, the lie of it all is much more honest because I invented it.
Clinical psychology tells us, arguably, that trauma is the ultimate killer.
Memories are not recycled like atoms and particles in quantum physics; they can be lost forever. It’s sort of like my past is an unfinished painting and as the artist of that painting, I must fill in all the ugly holes and make it beautiful again.
It’s not that I’ve been dishonest, it’s just that I loathe reality.
For example, those nurses…they’re wearing next season Calvin Klein, and so am I.
And the shoes…custom Giuseppe Zanotti.
I tipped their gaue caps to the side like Parisian berets because I think it’s romantic, and I also believe that mint will be very big in fashion next spring.
Check out this nurse on the right, she’s got a great ass.
BAM!
The truth is, back at the clinic, they only wore those funny hats to keep the blood out of their hair.
And that girl on the left…she ordered gummy bears and a knife a couple of hours ago…They only gave her the gummy bears.
I wished they’d only given me the gummy bears.

Good morning. Morphine Princess. How are you feeling?

(shrugs shoulders)
[Nurse]
Everything went really well.

So I wreaked havoc on some old denim, and I did what any girl would do… I did it all over again.
